Precision metal stamping process
Projects that use precision metal stamping usually start with
computer modeling and virtual simulation of the stamping process to
check for errors or defects. After the test is completed, the
computer will send the design directly to the machine in an
effective process, thereby reducing the chance of human error.
There are three main tooling methods for precision metal stamping:
Soft tools. A simple stand-alone method for small batch production.
Stage tools. Add multiple machines to the process, and workers manually move
workpieces between the machines.
Hard tools. Fully automatic process most suitable for mass output.
